Facilities
The University of Wisconsin Center for NanoTechnology is an interdisciplinary research center with laboratory space in the heart of the UW-Madison campus as well as laboratory and clean room facilities alongside the synchrotron in Stoughton, Wis. Both locations advance our goal of finding practical applications for basic scientific research.
The CNTech students, staff and faculty who work in the Biotechnology Center, which is also an interdisciplinary entity, focus on building molecular structures using nanotechnology. Our research in this area has led to several collaborations among UW faculty.
At the Kegonsa Research Campus, the proximity of a synchrotron gives our students, staff and faculty a convenient and continuous source of extreme ultraviolet light, electrons and x-rays.
